the "LAS VEGAS SUN" (29th October 2004):
Six of Las Vegas' legendary performers will be
inducted into the Casino Legends Hall of Fame
during an annual ceremony Sunday at the Tropicana.
The inductees include Jack Jones, Patti Page,
Debbie Reynolds, Sheena Easton, Ben Vereen and
Tempest Storm.
Clint
Holmes will host the by-invitation-only event,
which begins at 2 p.m.
The
ceremony is put on by the Tropicana and the Casino
Legends Hall of Fame Museum.
The entertainers who are inducted into the Hall
of Fame have close ties to Vegas:
Easton lives in Las Vegas, headlining at the Las
Vegas Hilton for the past two years and after co-starring
with David Cassidy at the Rio in "At the Copa." |

finally received my copy of the "SHEENA EASTON
- LIVE IN HOLLYWOOD" DVD from HMVAustralia.
I have yet to see it any UK stores (including
online),
This is the DVD release of the
"LIVE AT THE PALACE, HOLLYWOOD" video
from the early 1980's. The quality appears to
be good
on first viewing.

on the forum...
Singer SHEENA EASTON has turned down a third
offer from HUGH HEFNER to pose naked for
his PLAYBOY magazine.
The
U GOT THE LOOK star and mother-of-two, 45,
has rejected a $500,000 (GBP277,777) sum
to strip off for the famous publication.
Easton
is reportedly furious the amount is less
than the $1 million (GBP555,555) she was
initially offered in the mid-80s to disrobe
- followed by a second offer in the 90s
of $750,000 (GBP416,666).
(PS Take the "FURIOUS"
comment with a major pinch of salt as Sheena
has been joking about this offer - sounds
like press exaggeration to me!) |

Sheena
was a surprise special guest during "The
Big Picture - The Films of MGM / UA"
event at the Hollywood Bowl on Sunday 5th
September. She appeared during the James Bond
segment and performed "For Your Eyes
Only".

PROVIDES A VOICE FOR THE NEW SCOOBY DOO DVD |
Sheena
provides the voice for the character "Professor
Fiona Pembrooke" in the new "Scooby
Doo and the Loch Ness Monster" feature length
movie.
It was released in the USA on DVD and VHS on June
22nd.

The advert features passengers singing "Morning
Train" before Sheena boards the train and
