Where are you heading? If you could choose only one author for every trip, who would it be?
Northern California, to drive up the Pacific Coast Highway. I need change and variety, so if forced to choose just one; the entire Encylopedia Brittania.
Why? Any magazines or newspapers?
Because I know I'm going to get some peace there. Newsweek, Time, Shape, Cosmopolitan, USA Today.
What kind of traveller are you? What's on your Walkman?
Carefree - as long as someone else does all the planning. Joni Mitchell, Frank Sinatra, Geoge Michael, Shirley Horn, and show tunes.
Describe your suitcase Would you include anything else to keep you amused?
One that fits in the overhead lockers or under the seat. Crossword puzzle book, deck of cards, needlepoint, and a gameboy.
What essential items of clothing would you take? What aftershave/perfume would you take?
My old Nikes, loose cotton pants, Elmo T-shirt, and my leather jacket with sheepskin lining, which doubles as a travel pillow. Banana Republic's W.
If you had to take clothes from just one designer, or a single store, whose would it be? Do you take any travelling superstitions or any lucky charms with you?
