UK 'DIVA' MAGAZINE - JANUARY 2001 - REVIEW OF 'FABULOUS'

SHEENA EASTON 'Fabulous'

In which the 1980s power pop queen ditches those fitness videos and bland ballads and turns herself in a disco diva.

Like Cher and Kylie before her, Sheena Easton is back with a robust pop album aimed squarely at the GAY market. Produced by Ian Masterson and Terry Ronald (Kylie, Geri Halliwell). Fabulous is an album of frenetic Hi Energy versions of classics like Don't Leave Me This Way and the Three Degrees' Giving up, Giving In.

Admittedly one can't go wrong with tunes like these, but Easton still sounds pleased to be let off the leash.
